I really hope you get this on time, but I am in need of some urgent assistance few days back we made an unannounced vacation trip to Manila, Philippines everything was going fine until last night here, my worst fears came true as we were heading back to the hotel...all cash, credit cards and our cell phones were stolen at gun point,and it's hard to get hold of a phone here in Manila it's such a horrible experience for us. Glad we had left our passports in the safe at the hotel we need to get back home.

I have reported to the police here and canceled all our cards, it appeared I acted quickly enough or they almost would have succeeded in clearing out my bank account, we need some money so we can pay for our hotel bills and get a cab to the airport, and then fly home from there wondering if you can loan me $2,450 USD, i will make the refund when i get home,send me an email back, we have internet access from the lobby in the hotel. I'm sorry to bother you, I just didn't know how else to contact everyone quickly.

当即就想到为环保奋斗数十年的黃孟祚先生在菲律賓遭迂搶劫，身无分文急须相助，我义不容辞地就想汇一点钱给他，就问对方汇款方式，对方回应:

 I'm glad you replied back to my email...that will really make a lot of difference in settling the bills I just wish you can imagine how terrible I'm feeling right now.I have nothing left on me and I have blocked my cards for security purpose. I'm grateful that i still have my life and my passport because it would have been worst if they made away with my passport, you can have it wired to me via Western Union to my name and current location below.

当时看了有想: 收款人应该写 Wong Meng Chuo才对，为何只有 Meng Chuo两个字，而且沒有 I/C号码？

但又想，人家处境異常困难趕紧寄钱解难要紧，就不做多想开了支票交待职员去汇，就急忙开车去油棕笆了。边跑边回想，觉得有些不妥、连想到曾听过的各种版本的骗案，当即叫人试打电话给黄孟祚看是否能通，果然不久就接到回电说: 孟祚在诗巫，千万别汇款。当即通知职员停止汇款，避免了无谓上当受骗的耻辱和损失。
